Description: This is an ideal plan for Habitat for Humanity families (and many other families, too), because it provides all the desirable features found in a well designed home, as well as having many sustainable features such as earthbag walls and natural plaster. The south wall is framed with 2x6s to facilitate installation of electrical, plumbing and windows. The basement walls can also be made with earthbags to save money on foundation costs. Long-term energy savings is a key benefit of the design.
